Diagnostic criteria of depression
According to the 5th edition of the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (DSM-5), patients with depression will experience a variety of physical and psychological symptoms.
If you have 5 or more of the following symptoms for 2 consecutive weeks, you may be suffering from depression:
Depressed mood
Loss of appetite or excessive increase
agitated and
lack of motivation
Difficulty concentrating
Loss of interest in things or inability to enjoy activities
Insomnia or excessive sleep
Feeling worthless
thoughts of suicide
